Best Phone Holder for a John Deere Tractor: No-Drill Armrest Mounting Options

John Deere tractors can be equipped with several different armrest displays depending on the tractor model and year. While the screens may look different, many share something useful: an existing mounting location that can also be used to securely mount a phone.

At Display Bracket, we use that factory mounting location rather than drilling new holes in the tractor.

Mount Your Phone Right Next to the Display

Our John Deere phone mounting brackets are designed to install between the existing armrest display and its factory support.

A flat steel bracket fits into this existing mounting point, and we include the hardware needed for installation.

The result is a phone location that is:

  • Right beside the tractor's existing display
  • Easy for the operator to see and reach
  • Secure in rough field conditions
  • Installed without drilling or permanently modifying the tractor

This is especially useful for operators who use their phone for mapping, calls, weather, farm-management apps or other information throughout the day.

Different John Deere Armrest Displays Require Different Brackets

John Deere has used several different armrest displays over the years, so the correct phone-holder bracket depends on which screen is installed in your tractor.

The main screen types we commonly see are:

  • Small 7" Gen 3 Screen
  • Gen 4 Screen
  • Gen 5 Screen — the current-generation John Deere display

Our brackets are designed around the factory mounting location for each of these screen styles. The bracket installs between the existing display and the armrest support, allowing you to add a phone holder without drilling or permanently modifying the tractor.

Once the correct base bracket is installed, you can choose the phone holder style you prefer, including RAM Quick-Grip, RAM X-Grip, or magnetic options.

Not sure which screen you have? Send us a picture of your armrest display and your tractor model, and we can help identify the correct bracket.

Choose the Phone Holder You Prefer

The steel bracket provides the mounting point, but you aren't locked into one type of phone holder.

We offer several options, including RAM Mount components.

RAM Quick-Grip

This is our most popular choice.

The Quick-Grip allows you to insert and remove your phone with one hand. That makes it particularly convenient when you're getting in and out of the tractor throughout the day.

RAM X-Grip

The X-Grip is another popular option and uses RAM's familiar four-arm design to securely hold the phone.

Magnetic Phone Holders

For customers who prefer a cleaner, simple mounting system, we also offer magnetic phone-holder options.

Why Use the Existing John Deere Mounting Location?

One of the biggest advantages is that you don't have to modify an expensive tractor just to add a phone holder.

There are:

No holes to drill. No suction cups on the glass. No permanent modifications.

Instead, you're using a mounting location John Deere already built into the cab.

It also puts the phone in a very natural location—right beside the display you're already looking at while operating the tractor.

Which John Deere Phone Holder Do I Need?

Because the correct bracket depends on the display and tractor configuration, start by identifying the armrest display in your tractor.
